LEXMARK S415 Inkjet All-In-One Review

The Lexmark S415 Inkjet All-in-One is a fairly compact, modestly priced 4-function (print, copy, scan, fax) multifunction printer (MFP). It is a very minor upgrade to the Lexmark Interpret S405, adding some changes to software and firmware. It is the next model up from the Lexmark S315, adding fax capabilities and an automatic document feeder (ADF).
The S415 has a paper capacity of 100 sheets, and includes an automatic duplexer for printing on both sides of a sheet of paper, which can reduce paper consumption. It prints on a wide variety of media including plain paper, photo paper, heavy weight matte paper, banner (A4 or letter), card stock, envelopes, transparencies, Hagaki card , and iron-on transfers. It can print at sizes up to 8.5 by 17 inches. It uses 4 separate ink cartridges for yellow, magenta, cyan, and white. It’s a light-duty machine, having a recommended monthly print volume of up to 500 pages and a maximum duty cycle of up to 7,000 pages per month. Another eco-friendly touch is that this printer is Energy Star qualified.
The S415 has a 2.4-inch color LCD, and has a flatbed scanner with an optimum scan resolution of 1,200 by 1,200 ppi. It has a maximum scan area of 8.5 by 11.7 inches. A 35-sheet automatic document feeder (ADF) permits easy copying, scanning, or faxing of multi-page documents.
This two-toned (matte black and white) printer measures 10.6 by 17.0 by 14.4 inches, and weighs 17.5 pounds. It can connect to a computer via a USB cable, or to a wireless network with its built-in 801.11b/g/n WiFi. It supports mobile printing from iPhone and Android mobile devices. It has a USB type A port that fits a USB thumb drive, but lacks a media-card reader.
